Accommodation capacity
The accommodation offering in Réunion is sufficiently varied. Prices are highest between Boucan-Canot and Saint-Leu, the region with the most tourists. Chambres and tables d'hôtes are very popular with local residents, who book the best ones for weekends several weeks in advance.
The Departmental Office of Gites de France in Saint-Denis publishes a detailed map of rural gites, bed & breakfasts, stopover gites and country inns. The Central Reservations Office for the Island of Reunion and the Tourist Offices provide information about all the accommodation available on the island. Gites and hiking refuges, rural gites and stopover gites provide certified accommodation throughout the island.
